In-form Techiman City attacking midfielder, Baba Mahama has assured supporters of the club of victory in Sunday’s duel with struggling Aduana Stars.
City opened their maiden Premier League debut with a slender 1-0 victory over regional rivals Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Ameyaw Park in Techiman before losing 2-4 to Sekondi Hasaacas on match day 2.
Aduana Stars on the other hand, have lost all the two games played so far and the unpleasant situation has led to the resignation of head coach Nurudeen Ahmed.
Mahama, who scored his debut goal in last week’s defeat at Hasaacas, tells Footy-GHANA.com that his outfit is more determined than Aduana Stars to secure a win on Sunday.
He further indicated that nothing would stop Techiman City from picking all three points on the afternoon though the ‘Fire Boys’ will come into the game as wounded lions.
‘’We’re well prepared for the game on Sunday as usual. Due to their two straight defeats, it is obvious that they will approach this game differently. I know they are determined to win their first game of the season,” the slippery midfielder who has been nicknamed ‘John’ mentioned.
He continued: ‘’But I can confidently state that we are more determined than them. We have not made up our mind to drop a point at home this season. We will beat Aduana on Sunday because we have what it takes to do that.’’
Techiman City lies 11th on the league log, whilst Aduana Stars occupies the bottom of the table.
