Medeama SC striker Abass Mohammed is set to complete a move to Asante Kotoko, Footy-Ghana.com sources have revealed.
The lanky forward had all but sealed a switch to Tema-based Inter Allies after seeking for a free agent clearance from the Ghana FA status committee months ago.
Our reliable sources reveal the Mauves had failed to pay the striker his salaries for five months hence pushing him to seek for a contract termination.
Managed by new Inter Allies coach Prince Owusu, Abass secured an agreement to train with Inter Allies in November pending a permanent deal.
However, Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko who have been in hunt for a top striker following the exit of Dauda Mohammed to Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht, this week have succeeded in securing a deal for the forward to join the side.
Abass Mohammed was instrumental for the Tarkwa-based side as they reached the group stage of the CAF Confederation cup. He’s expected to boost the attacking options of Kotoko who are already on the verge of capturing Baba Mahama from Techiman City.
