Confirmed: Bolga All Stars to play home matches in Tamale stadium

President of Bolga All Stars Salifu Zida has confirmed the Newly-promoted premier league outfit will play their home matches of the 2016/2017 premier league at the Tamale Sports Stadium instead of their favored Bolga Stadium grounds.

This is because their Bolga stadium has no grass on the playing turf and no dressing room. Salifu Zida is nonetheless confident the Bolga stadium will be ready for use by the time the second round of the league comes around.

“We are adopting the Tamale stadium as our temporary venue. The club licensing system will not permit as to use our “sakora park” (grassless pitch) for our games. But we’re are putting in in shape and hopefully it will be ready by the start of the second round,” he said.

Bolga All Stars became the first team from the Upper East region of Ghana to gain promotion to the Ghana premier league.

The 2016/2017 Ghana premier league season is expected to kick off early next year.
