Black Stars keep place on FIFA ranking

The Senior National team, Black Stars have again placed 41st on the latest FIFA ranking, the same position placed in the last edition released in February.

The Stars, maintaining their position however have dropped in points from 691 in February to 656 in the March edition, a decline of 35 points from the previously accumulated points.

Ghana began the year at 37th on the ranking order in the world but have dropped below the ladder to the 40’s.

On the ladder for Africa, Ghana are fourth, same as it was in February with the top 5 in Africa being Cape Verde who are still on top in Africa and 31st in the world. Cote d’Ivoire are second in Africa and 36 in the world, Algeria 3rd but 37th globally, Tunisia are 5th and 47th in the world.

The top 10 countries in Africa are ; Cape Verde (31 in the world), Cote d’Ivoire (36), Algeria (37), Ghana (41), Tunisia (47), Senegal (48), Egypt (53), Congo DR (58), Congo (59) and Cameroon (61).

In the world no African team made it to the first 20, with positions in the top 10 remaining unchanged as in the last edition and they folllow; Belgium, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Chile, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, England, Austria.
