Ghana’s Kennedy Ashia has arrived in Sudan to sign with giants Al Hilal Omdurman.
The attacking midfielder is joining the side after exhausting his contract with Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals.
Ashia was on the radar of FCPPL trio Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and recently crowned champions AshantiGold. The latter had even claimed receiving a release letter from Liberty Professionals and arranged for his arrival in Obuasi for medicals last Thursday.
“We have secured Ashia’s release letter from Liberty and he is expected to arrive to complete his personal terms and medicals with us,” the Miners’ spokesperson, Kofi Yawson had told footy-Ghana.com.
Apparently, Ashia who turns 21 in December has swerved the Miners and opted for a move abroad to join Al Hilal in the Sudani Premier League.
