Affum ready to receive offers from Premier League clubs

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak striker Edward Affum has confirmed his doors are widely open and set to play for any club in the Premier League when the second round window finally opens.

The hugely experienced forward left the country in 2013 for Jordan to seek greener pastures but faced series of problems and ended up signing for Baladeyet El Mahalla Sporting Club in Egypt in the second tier.

The 2008/09 top-scorer nearly signed for Dansoman-based club Liberty Professionals last year but delays in the release of his ITC made the deal fall through after earlier agreeing a three-year deal with the Scientific Soccer Lads.

Speaking exclusively to Footy-Ghana, Affum revealed his readiness to play in the 2016/17 league.

“I came into the country last month after terminating my contract in Oman due to certain issues of which I can’t reveal all. I am free and have no contract ties with any club at the moment so there is no need for premier league clubs to be afraid of being punished by CAF.

“My doors are open and I’m ready to sit on the negotiation table with any club who want my services.”

With the window for registration closed, Affum will have to wait till the window for the second round opens if he is to sign any deal to play in the league.
