Ashia reports Sidama Bunna to Ethiopia FA

Ghana midfielder Kennedy Ashia has reported Ethiopian side Sidama Bunna over a contractual dispute.

The 23-year-old, who signed for Sidama Bunna for a season in September 2017, has made 16 appearances since his arrival.

With just a little over a month left on his contract, Ashia allegedly fell out with his employers after reminding the club of their obligations towards him.

Ashia has been on an alleged revolt which has seen him fail to attend training.

The former Ghana U-20 and Liberty Professionals star has backed it up by reporting Sidama Bunna to the Ethiopian Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee, Footy-Ghana.com has confirmed.

Kennedy Ashia is not the only Ghanaian at Sidama Bunna – they alwocompatriots and teammates Latif Mohammed and Michael Annan have also been warned to step up to their potential. The former has scored once in the league for Sidama Bunna in the ongoing season.

There are as many as 21 Ghanaian players spread across 11 of the 16 clubs in the 2017/18 Ethiopian Premier League.
