The Tema Stadium remains their likely choice but Accra Hearts of Oak want to wait until Sunday to firmly decide on their new home ground for the 2017/18 domestic campaign.
The Phobians have come to terms with the reality that their traditional home venue, the Accra Stadium, will not be available for their use due to renovation works which could keep it closed until September.
Hearts travel to face All Blacks in a preseason friendly on Sunday February 18.
And this, the club’s Communications Manager, Kwame Opare Addo tells Footy-Ghana.com they “will make a decision” on the new home venue for the upcoming season “after the match at Swedru against All Blacks.”
“[This is] because we [Hearts] are considering the Swedru Park as well,” he added.
While looking at the Swedru option, Hearts firmly have their eyes on the Tema Stadium which has also been chosen by Inter Allies.
Footy-Ghana.com reliably understands officials of the club have discussed plans of expanding some seating areas especially the V.I.P section inside the astroturf arena so as to mitigate the huge losses they would be incurring for not getting to use the Accra Sports Stadium.
Should Hearts confirm Tema, they will play their home matches at the venue with Inter Allies.
In a related development, Footy-Ghana.com understands that Inter Allies have already began fixing some defects at the Tema Stadium in order to make the venue friendlier to spectators.
