The national U-17 female team, the Black Maidens, have departed Accra ahead of their 2018 Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Djibouti.

Ghana defeated Gambia 7-1 on aggregate to book a place in the second round of the African qualifiers to Uruguay 2018.

The Black Maidens left the Kotoka International Airport in Accra Tuesday afternoon for the first leg clash scheduled for Friday.

Head coach for Evans Adotey leads the team with 18 players including Captain Mukarama Adbulai and Abigail Tutuwaa.

The Black Maidens Maidens have qualified for every edition of World Cup since its inception in 2008.
