Schalke resume Baba Rahman loan talks

Schalke 04 are back in talks with Chelsea over another Baba Abdul Rahman loan, the German side’s sporting director has confirmed.

The 23-year-old has been on the sidelines with a serious knee injury since February but has been working his way back to fitness over the last several months.

Before injuring his knee while on loan at Schalke, Rahman had impressed for the Bundesliga outfit and now Christian Heidel has confirmed they are keen to bring him back.

“Baba has now been fully training for two weeks. We are in talks with Chelsea and the doctors of both clubs are in exchange,” Heidel told Kicker.

Rahman has caught the eye of Antonio Conte since resuming full training last month and is pushing for a place in the first team squad.

Marcos Alonso has, however, cemented his place in the left wing-back role for the Blues, making a loan exit for Rahman much more likely.

Everton and Monaco have also enquired about the man who cost Chelsea from Augsburg for £14million in 2015.
