Young Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad is confident he will be ready for the big stage when called upon by head coach Steven Polack.
With his recent international exposure and having been promoted from the youth team last season, the 15-year-old feels he has learnt a lot and can make the big step-up in the coming season.
“I’m like a soldier, always ready for a battle. I will not disappoint the coach [Steve Pollack] if he gives me the chance,” Danlad told Kessben FM.
“Felix Annan and Ernest Sowah are my seniors and I am learning from them. But whenever the coach chooses me to be in the post, I will not let him and the supporters of Kotoko down.”
Danlad was Ghana’s first choice at the U-17 Afcon and the Fifa World Cup in India last year.
“Playing for the national team and to play at the tournament like the Africa Youth Championship and World Cup has helped me a lot,” he added.
Danlad has been roped into Kokoto’s 26-man squad for their 2018 Caf Confederation Cup campaign.
