Fabin dropped, Karim Zito made Ghana U-17s coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Abdul Karim Zito as head coach of the male Under-17 team, the Black Starlets.

The Dreams FC trainer last worked as a national coach during the 2015 All Africa Games in Brazaville when he played the role of assistant to the veteran Malik Jabir for the men’s Olympic team, Black Meteors (2011 to 2015).

Zito, known for his specialization in unearthing talents, will be assisted by former national winger Yaw Preko who was previously attached as an assistant at the U-20 men’s team.

Zito succeeds Paa Kwesi Fabin who occupied the head coach position from October 2011 and guided Ghana to the recent Fifa U-17 World Cup in India.
