Midfielder Cofie Bekoe has had his contract abrogated by Egypt Premier League side Al Assiouty Sport just six months after signing for them.
The Ghana international was a rush signing by the al-Fayyum-based side last summer – he joined the Premier League returnees (since 2015) in a free agent deal after an initial move to Entag El Harby collapsed.
Bekoe, 29, made just one appearance for Assiouty in 16 league games.
Despite their eye-catching showings in the Egyptian Premier League, Assiouty occuy 13th place on the log with 19 points.
Cofie Bekoe was a huge hit in Egypt when he featured for Petrojet eight years ago.
He has played for numerous clubs in Ghana including Nania FC, Tema Youth, Bechem United and very recently, Accra Great Olympics.
