Bekoe, two other Ghanaians make AFC Leopards Confed Cup squad

Kenyan giants, AFC Leopards have paid fines to ensure all three Ghanaian signings make their final squad for the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.

The Ingwe first bought former Berekum Chelsea striker Prince Arkoh in December last year before securing deals for left-back Isaac Oduro and former GPL top scorer Eric Bekoe this month.

Caf issued a December 31 deadline for player registration after which clubs are made to pay specific fines for late additions until the last day of January.

Head coach Robert Matano has submitted his final squad of 29 players with both Oduro and Bekoe making it – meaning AFC Leopards paid Caf $250.00 per player to make the Ghanaian duo eligible for the continental assignments.

AFC Leopards begin their Confederation Cup journey with a tie against Fosa Juniors of Madagascar.

Meanwhile, Leopards, winners of the GOtv shield last season face Premier League champions Gor Mahia in the Kenyan Super Cup on Sunday, January 28.
