Senegal drop Romai, return to Puma in €2.5m kit deal

German sportswear makers Puma are back as kit suppliers of African giants Senegal.

The Teranga Lions will revert to wearing Puma outfits after what has been described a disastrous deal with Romai ended.

Senegal had dropped Puma in 2016.

The 2018 World Cup bound side signed a four-year deal with Puma on Thursday in exchange for a reported €2.5 million cash.

Puma are believed to have been desperate to sponsor an African country at Russia 2018 after all their major partners on the continent – Ghana, Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire failed to qualify for the tournament.

Senegal now becomes the third country to be kitted by Puma at the 2018 Fifa World Cup. The other two are Uruguay and Switzerland.
