Asante Kotoko have signed teenage defender Emmanuel Owusu on a three-year contract after impressing on trials.
The centre-back, 19, was captain of Division One side Nea Salamina in the recently ended season.
He caught the eye of the Kotoko handlers when he led his side against the Porcupine Warriors in the quarterfinals of the 2017 MTN FA Cup.
Owusu has been under a close observation by head coach Steven Polack since the beginning of Kotoko’s preseason preparations at their Adako-Jachie training centre.
He was rewarded his deal on Thursday.
Emmanuel Owusu will now look to push his claims for a first-team spot.
