Inter Allies have completed the signing of 18-year-old Nigerian international Afeez Aremu Olalekan.
He becomes the third signing of the Ghana Premier League side ahead of the new season after Samuel Armah and Michel Otou.
The President of Inter Allies Rabeh El-Eter said: “This is a very positive addition to our team because he will offer a lot to us. He is a young player with huge capacity to learn and develop, with lots of quality.”
Upon signing for the club, the midfielder said he was “very excited” to join a good team where he can’t even wait to start.
“I would like to thank all parties involved in making this deal a successful one, it is a great move for me to come here to develop my career. I am very excited to be signing for a good Club such as Inter Allies. I am looking forward to working with the new coach and the players.I hope to do my best and exhibit my quality to help the team,” he told www.interalliesfc.com
Owned by Westerloo Football Academy, the defensive midfielder played for Akwa United in the 2017 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Afeez was also a key player for the Nigerian B side that reached the final of 2017 WAFU Cup but unfortunately lost the game 4-1 against the Black Stars B of Ghana but it was the top performances of the youngster that saw him voted into the team of the tournament.
The player who has been selected for the 2018 CHAN tournament earned his first international call-up by Gernot Rohr back in October for the 2018 World Cup Qualifying game against Zambia.
Meanwhile, Footy-Ghana.com understands that Afeez may end up at another club before even the Ghanaian season commences as offers keep coming in for the talented Nigerian.
