#FootyTransfers: Fenerbahçe want Baba Rahman

Turkish giants Fenerbahçe have joined three other clubs in the race to snap up Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman from Chelsea.

According to reports in the Turkish media, Fenerbahçe have turned attention to the 23-year-old following a negative response from Manchester United’s Luke Shaw. The United left-back is said to be unwilling to move even on loan to the Super Lig.

Baba Rahman, who is recovering from a long injury layoff, has little chance to feature in Atonio Conte’s scheme especially as the season enters the crucial stages.

In recent weeks, Schalke 04, with whom Baba was on loan before his injury in January last year, have been reported to be interested in another spell this January.

Everton and Fiorentina have also been linked but Fenerbahçe are reportedly keen to entice Chelsea with an outright purchase offer for the Ghana international. They are also willing to take the former Augsburg player on loan should the Blues refuse to sell.
