#FootyTransfers: Aduana Stars confirm Caleb Amankwah capture

Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars have announced signing highly-rated defender Caleb Amankwah as they continue to build for their return to Africa early next year.

Amankwah, 20, joins from Academy side WAFA SC on a three-year contract that will run until December 2020.

The right-back scored once in 26 appearances for WAFA SC last season. He has two Premier League experiences.

Caleb Amankwah officially becomes the fourth new recruit after Hafiz Adams with whom he is to battle with for the same starting spot, left-back Justice Anaman and Congolese attacking youngster Ula Ikama.

Aduana Stars continue to be busy in the transfer market and are on the verge of completing two more deals for Paul Aidoo and Yahaya Mohamamed.

The two-time league champions have been drawn to face Libya’s Al Tahaddy in the preliminary round of the 2018 Caf Champions League next February.
