Ghana and Niger are set for an African showdown in the Round of 16 stage of the 2017 Fifa U-17 World Cup currently underway in India.
The Nigeriens, first-timers in this age-level competition, qualified for the knockouts from Group D as one of the best third-placed teams while Ghana topped Group A.
Both sides met in the semifinal of the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. The Black Starlets came out victors via penalty shootouts after the encounter ended barren in regulation time.
The Ghana-Niger tie is scheduled for the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday October 18.
Kickoff is at 11:30GMT.
The winner of this tie books a quarterfinals place and will face either African champions Mali or Iraq who clash on Tuesday.
