Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena is confident he is returning to the pitch a much stronger player and mentally tough after his move to Brighton and Hove fell through.
Dwamena’s proposed move to the English Premier League during the summer transfer was dealt a huge blow after failing medicals due to heart conditions. He subsequently missed Ghana’s double header against Congo in the World Cup Qualifier in September.
The FC Zurich striker however managed to avail himself for Ghana’s game against Uganda and a friendly match against the Saudi Arabians.
“I am doing very well,” he told KweséESPN.
“If we don’t go through certain things we will never grow.
The 22-year-old was made to undergo series of medical tests at his club to ascertain level of his conditions. He was however declared fit by the medical team of FC Zurich.
“I am grateful to God that I went through it and had the power to endure.”
”I am back playing, feeling very good and hoping to return to my very best. This hasn’t changed anything.”
“It is natural that this will play on my mind but I am focusing on just the football and nothing else.”
After making eight appearance for Zurich in the Super League, he has scored two goals.
