Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC will renew their MTN FA Cup rivalry while Wa All Stars and Hearts of Oak also square off in the all-Premier League draw for the last four of the 2016/17 edition.
All semi-final games will be played at the same venue, Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
Both ties will also be honoured on the same day, dubbed “Super Sunday” come October 1, 2017.
For Kotoko, the clash with Medeama is a chance for revenge in this competition after the Mauve and Yellows twice denied them the trophy in two recent finals – 2013 and 2015.
Hearts of Oak are keen on breaking their FA Cup trophy duck of 17 years but have stiff opposition from a Wa All Stars side vowing to atone for their dismal league title defense campaign with the FA Cup trophy.
All semi-final teams will all receive GH¢7, 000 each plus GH¢1,000 worth of MTN airtime for their preparations.
The prize money for the 2016/17 MTN FA Cup stands at GH¢50,000 with the runners-up set to receive GH¢15,000.
Meanwhile, an amount of GH¢100,000 has been reserved by headline sponsors to support the team which will earn the mantle to represent Ghana in the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup.
