Why Hannover 96 are confident of David Accam deal

German Bundesliga side Hannover 96 have joined the race to sign want-away Chicago Fire forward David Accam.

The 26-year-old’s reported cold relationship with his boss appears to be pushing his imminent exit from the club.

While reports in certain quarters of the US media claim it has gotten to the point of the Ghana star demanding a transfer, others say the club is refusing to meet his demand of $2million for a contract extension, fueling exit talks.

Accam is said to have even asked Chicago Fire to consider the transfer offers that have been received and one of them, FootyGhana has confirmed, happens to be Hannover 96.

The Germans have come into the picture with an offer and have gone as far as securing an “oral promise” from the player and his representatives, we understand.

Accam is reportedly valued between $3m and $4m, a fee Hannover 96 will happily match.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s Bursaspor SK as well as French club Guingamp are also reported to be interested.
