Kotoko terminate deal with coach Michael Osei

Asante Kotoko have informed assistant coach Michael Osei of the decision to discontinue with his services.

The future of the ex-Kotoko has been under intense speculation since the appointment of the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led administration.

According to reliable sources, Michael Osei was informed of the decision to write him off the club’s books at a brief meeting held at the club’s secretariat Monday morning.

Three management members – Lawyer Yaw Boafo, Thomas Boakye Agyeman and administrator Rose Padmore Yeboah held the meeting with the coach.

Footy-Ghana.com can reveal that Michael Osei, though told by word of mouth, is yet to receive an official letter informing him of the termination of his contract at the time of this report. He could be walking home with a huge compensation as he signed a contract extension not too long ago.

Michael Osei, who has been with the Porcupine Warriors for the past three seasons, served as assistant to coach Didi Dramani and David Duncan before taking up the acting head coach role after the latter was relieved of his post.

Asante Kotoko will be looking to immediately name a new assistant to new head coach Zdravko Logarusic before the new season begins February 4.
