Ghana defender, Jonathan Mensah has joined Colombus Crew in the Major League Soccer in the USA.
In the MLS Club’s bid to strengthen their team ahead of their first game in 2017 against Chicago Fire which is 60 days away, they announced the capture of the defender via the club’s official twitter handle.

Mensah was reported a week ago to join the MLS outfit from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. With his experience, Gregg Berlhalter, Sporting Director of Crew and doubles as the coach of the side is positive Mensah will settle well in the team.
The 26-year-old has won two glories with Ghana at the U20 level-the Africa Youth Championship and World U20 Cup both in 2009. He has also appeared at two World Cups with the Black Stars (2010 and 2014) as well as 6 goals in all competitions from 127 club appearances.
Jonathan Mensah has been named in Ghana’s 26-man provisional squad camping now in the United Arab Emirates for the Africa Nations Cup in Gabon from January 14-February 5, 2017.
The stalwart defender has now joined fellow international, Afful Harrison at Colombus Crew and is expected to make appearance for his new side in February after the Africa Nations Cup.
The former Ashanti Gold SC player has also played for Free State Stars in South Africa and in Europe for Udinese (Italy), Granada (Spain), Evian Thonon-Gaillard (France).
