The game which was played in a virtually empty stadium did not fail to live up to its billing. Both teams attended the game with all seriousness parading their best players for the game.
As early as the 10th minute, Emmanuel Ocran, who scored six goals last season registered the first which turned out the only goal of the game.
The ‘Hunters’ came back strongly but could not find any opening through the defense of All Stars.
As thrilling as the handful of spectators thought the second department of the game was going to be, it did not live to be so.
However, All Stars did not push hard for a second goal but defended gallantly to their slim lead to win the game.
The match serves as a good preparatory game for both teams who are seriously preparing for their continental duties.
Bechem, with their new Italian coach will be looking to correct the team’s mistake before meeting MC Algers in the Caf Confederation Cup in few weeks. All Stars will also play as host against Libyan giant Al Ahly Tripoli between 10-12th February in the Caf Champions League.
