Ghanaian goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has joined Tanzanian top-flight side Simba SC on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old joins the Msimbazi Street Boys in a free agent after failing to renew his stay with Medeama SC where he enjoyed a half-season spell in the 2015/16 season.
“I feel good about the reception from the supporters and they are friendly too. I haven’t met the players and the coaches,” Agyei told Soka25east.com after signing his deal.
The shot-stopper also promised to help Simba win laurels.
“I am here to win trophies and also play Africa Champions League. I know the fans I have seen here know what I can do for the club. I will give my best for the team,” he added.
The deal lasts until December 2017.

Daniel Agyei is now the fifth Ghanaian footballer after Daniel Amoah, Enoch Attah Agyei, Samuel Afful and Yahaya Mohammed to switch to Tanzania this year.
