ENGLAND

Andre Ayew has asked West Ham to be treated at a place familiar to him as he has moved to Marseille in France to continue with his rehabilitation following his thigh injury. He missed the action between West Ham and Southampton as they were humiliated 3-0 at home.

In an early kick-off, title holders Leicester City were condemned to another heavy defeat by embattled Manchester United by 4-1. Daniel Amartey played 90 minutes for Leicester whiles Jeffery Schlupp made a second half appearance in the 62nd minute.

In the Championship, Elvis Manu failed to make up Brighton and Hove Albion squad that defeated Barnsley 2-0 at home.

The winless streak continues for Aston Villa as they locked horns with Newcastle United at home – seven matches without a win. Both Albert Adomah and Jordan Ayew started the game for the home side, with Jordan providing an assist for Aaron Tshibola to draw level after the Magpies had taken the lead. However, Adomah was substituted in the 63rd minute whiles Jordan lasted the entire duration of the game. Christian Atsu warmed the bench for the visitors.

In League One, 19-year-old Daniel Agyei made a second half appearance for Coventry City in their game against Gillingham. They suffered their second defeat in four games and are yet to pick a win – lost 2-1. Corey Addai was unused whiles Kwame Thomas failed to make the squad.

SPAIN

In the Spanish La Liga, Kevin Prince Boateng missed the Las Palmas clash against Real Madrid after picking a red card in midweek against Real Sociedad. They drew 2-2 at home against the ‘White Angels’.

Thomas Partey sat on the bench for Atletico Madrid in their 1-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna

Pawel Kieszek once again kept Ghana’s number pone goalkeeper Razak Braimah on the bench as Cordoba comfortably picked a 2-0 win at home against Gimnastic de Tarragona.

ITALY

After staying on the bench for Juventus in their 4-0 thrashing against Cagliari in midweek, Kwadwo Asamoah made a second half appearance on the 68th minute as they won 0-1 away against Palermo. Sadly he suffered a knee injury and has been ruled out for six weeks.

Udinese recorded their second defeat in three games by losing 1-0 against Sassuolo. Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu was not part of Udinese squad whiles Claud Ajapong, 18, was unused for the home side.

Afriyie Acquah is still serving his ban after receiving his matching orders in a midweek clash against Pescara. Torino defeated AS Roma 3-1 at home.

Inter Milan drew 1-1 with Bologna at the San Siro with Godfred Donsah pitted at the dugout throughput the whole game.

Genoa are still struggling to find their feet in the Serie A after picking their second draw against Pescara. Isaac Coffie was unused.

In the Serie B, Bari suffered their first defeat in four matches after losing 0-4 at home against Benevento at home. Kingsley Boateng was not part of the Bari squad.

Latina drew 1-1 at home against Ternana as they are struggling to record a win in eight matches. Duo Boadu Acosty and Richmond Boakye Yiadom played their entire minutes for the Latina.

GERMANY

Baba Rahman’s Schalke 04 picked up a third defeat after losing 2-1 away to 1899 Hoffenheim. Baba saw full action for the visitors whiles Bernard Tekpetey could not make the squad.

Vfl Bochum continued with their rough road in the 2nd Bundesliga as they drew 1-1 with Vfb Stuttgart. Jan Gyamerah, 21, was thrown into the action in the 46th for Bochum on a Friday night game.

Eintacht Braunschweig defeated Fortuna Dusselfdorf by 2-1 at home. Phil Ofosu-Ayeh was missing in action after picking an injury last week win over SV Sandhausen. He is currently in Basel, Switzerland to run test on his Achilles tendon injury. Joseph Baffo saw 20 minutes of action for the home side.

FRANCE

Lorient picked their second win in the season so far with 1-0 win against Olympique Lyon. Abdul Mjaeed Waris came in for Benjamin Moukandjo in the 46th minute for the home side.

Godfrey Acheampong was not part of the Bastia squad that won 1-0 against Guingamp at home.

Elsewhere in the Ligue 2, Charles Ntim, 20, and a former Right to Dream player replaced Loris Nery on the 41st minute in the first half. They lost 1-2 at home to RC Lens.

Enock Mensah, 19, was in the heart of defense for Nantes and could not prevent Marseille’s goals as they lost 2-1 away. He played the entire game.

NERTHERLAND

AK Alkmaar are still undefeated in their last nine matches in the Dutch Eredivisie and drew 2-2 at home with Go Ahead Egles. Derrick Luckassen, 21, lasted the entire game for the home side and received a yellow card on the 39th minute.

Reagy Baah Ofosu started NEC Nijmegen against Willem II Tilburg in their goalless draw. Teammate Quincy Owusu-Abeyie warmed the bench.

FC Twente returned to winning ways after bowing to 1-3 to FC Utrecht at home on Thursday. They defeated Vitesse 2-1 at home. Yaw Yeboah was substituted off three minutes to full time.

Thomas Agyepong helped NAC Breda to bounce back from their defeat suffered on Tuesday against VVV Venlo to beat De Graafschap at home by a goal to nil in the Eerste Divisie. The 20-year-old played nine minutes of the game.

On Friday night, VVV Venlo hosted Jong Utrecht in the second tier by defeating the visitors by 2-0. Jonathan Opoku played 29 minutes for the home side whiles Rodney Antwi saw 16 minutes of action for Utrecht.

FINLAND

Former U20 striker Ransford Osei failed to make RoPS Palloseura squad that drew 1-1 at home with IFK Mariehamn

SCOTLAND

Prince Buaben was an unused substitute for Heart of Midlothian as they were held to a goalless draw by Ross County.

Joe Dodoo returned to Rangers squad after staying on the sidelines through injury. They suffered a 2-1 defeat away against Aberdeen. Dodoo stayed on the bench throughout the game.

AUSTRIA

In the Austrian Erste Liga, FC Leifering maintained their lead at top of the table by defeating Weiner Neustadt 3-1. Former U20 goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi was in post for the home side whiles Samuel Tetteh was substituted off in the 90th minute. Gideon Mensah saw 32 minutes of action for Leifering.

BELGIUM

Nana Opoku Ampomah, 20, played 19 minutes of football for Waasland Beveren as they drew 1-1 with KSC Lokeren at home. Eugene Ansah was not part of Lokeren squad.

Nana Asare excelled in a three-man defense for KAA Gent against St. Truidense, helping them to pick their second win – beating them 2-1 at home.

RSC Anderlecht were shocked at home by KVC Westerloo – their first defeat in 10 matches. Frank Acheampong played 90 minutes while Emmanul Adjey Sowah was unused. Mitch Appau, 26, lasted the entire game.

Standard Liege walloped AS Eupen at home by 3-0 with Eric Ocansey failing to make the squad of the visitors.

Bernard Kumordzi saw his team, KRC Genk from the bench as they were thrashed to 4-0 by KV Kortrijk.

PORTUGAL

FC Pacos de Ferreira picked their second consecutive win by beating travelling Rio Ave 2-1 at home. Osei Barnes doubled the lead for the home side three minutes after Mateus Silva had opened the scoring on the 16th minute. Barnes was substituted on the 87th minute. Alhassan Wakaso reduced the deficit for Rio nine minutes to full time and subsequently lasted the entire game.

Bernard Mensah, who is on loan from Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid helped Vitoria Guimaraes bounce back by defeating Moreirense by 0-1. He came in for Joao Pedro on the 58th minute.

RUSSIA

Jonathan Mensah defended the backline for Anzhi Makhachkala as they drew 2-2 at home with Zenit St. Petersburg. Rabiu Mohammed was not part of Anzhi’s squad.

SWEDEN

Both Patrick Kpozo and Ebenezer Ofori played 90 minutes for AIK as they threw away a two goal lead to later draw 2-2 with IF Elfsborg away. Ebenezer provided Nigerian Chinedu Obasi with a nice assist to score the second goal before surrendering their lead.

Samuel Mensah, 27, saw 17 minutes of action for Ostersunds FK against IFK Goteborg by replacing Alex Dyer in the second half. They lost by 2-0.

Both Nasiru Mohammed and Mohammed Abubakari played minutes for BK Hacken, helping them draw goalless with GIF Sundsvall away. Baba Mensah sat on the bench for the visitors.

With four matches without a win, Falkenbergs FF stretched it five by losing 0-2 at home Hammarby IF. Enock Kwakwa lasted the entire 90 minutes for the home side whiles former Inter Allies defender Joseph Aidoo defended gallantly for the visitors.

Kwame Bonsu lasted 46 minutes for Gefle IF in their 2-2 away draw against Orebro SK.

SWITZERLAND

Ebenezer Assifuah saw seven minutes of action for FC Sion as they drew 0-0 with BSC Young Boys at home. Kasim Adams, 23, was unused for Young Boys.

NORWAY

Adam Kwarasey was disposed of the post by Norwegian Andre Hansen. However, his side, Rosenborg BK travelled to pick all the three points against Molde FK by beating them 1-3.

Mahatma Otoo played no part in Sogndal IL 1-2 away victory against Lillestrom SK.

Another former Inter Allies striker Denny Antwi, 23, started for IK Start as they narrowly defeated Haugesund FK at home.

Bismark Boateng was on the score sheet for Stomsgodset as he cancelled out Odds BK’s early lead in the first half at home. He together with Mohammed Abu were in top form, lasting their entire 90 minutes of the game.

TURKEY

Samuel Inkoom was not part of Antalyaspor’s squad that drew goalless with Akhisar Belediyespor at home. The home side are without a win in five league matches now.

Istanbul Basaksehir maintained their unbeaten run, stretching it to four matches after drawing 2-2 with Osmanlispor at home. Joseph Attamah warmed the bench for the home side.

USA

David Accam lasted the entire 90 minutes for Chicago Fire as they lost 4-1 away against New York City FC.

Both Llyod Sam and Patrick Nyarko featured for DC United in their 4-1 win against Orlando City SC. The former lasted 82 minutes whiles the latter saw 77 minutes of action

Dominic Oduro came in for Michael Salazar for Montreal Impact in their 1-0 loss against New York Red Bulls away. Gideon Baah is still recuperating from his injury picked in July.

LA Galaxy suffered their first defeat in six matches – succumbing to a 2-4 drubbing at home to Seattle Sounders. Emmanuel Boateng started for Galaxy and was replaced by Steven Gerrard in the 72nd minute.

Kofi Sarkodie, 25, could not make-up San Jose Earthquakes squad in their struggle to pick their first win in seven matches, as once again they lost 1-2 to Sporting Kansas City.

Columbus Crew continued with their winning ways by comfortably defeating New England Revolution by 2-0 at home. Harrison Afful was spectacular for the home side and played the entire game.
