Asante Kotoko are considering signing former club striker Nathaniel Asamoah on a free agent deal.
The 26-year-old who was sold by the club to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade years ago returned home to play for Medeama SC for one-and-half seasons before switching to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in August 2015.
Footy-GHANA.com understands Michael Osei is a proponent of the move which the club is taking a serious look at. Bechem United have in recent weeks been in constant contact with and lead the race to sign Asamoah who abandoned last season’s goalking title race for the Raja Casablanca move which turned out be unsuccessful.
Asamoah has been without a club after failing to agree terms with his suitors on transfer deadline day prior to the start of the 2015/16 season.
