Channel grievances through right channels – Gerald Ankrah

The General Manager of Hearts of Oak, Gerald Ankrah, has called on fans of the club to use proper avenues in addressing concerns.

The Phobians endured a disappointing time in the 2014-15 Premier League season, finishing just a place above the relegation zone on the 13th spot.

Ankrah’s comments come on the back of calls by a group of fans, the Concerned Hearts of Oak Supporters, for the club’s current management to step up or relinquish their position.

“It lies within their democratic rights to say whatever they [Concerned Hearts of Oak Supporters] feel like saying but there are recognized organs that the club deals with,” Ankrah told Sikka FM.

“Anyone with issues can channel grievances through any of those organs in order to get to the board for redress.

“Unfortunately, we don’t know about this group but I have been informed that other Chapter members belong to it.

“If that is the case, it means there might be a break in communication from management level to the ordinary supporter. It is something we will seriously attended to.”

Hearts are expected to hold an Annual General Meeting on Wednesday at the Accra International Conference Centre to discuss vital issues of the club.
